Seniors to Help Them Save Moneyon Prescription Drugs (NAPSA)—In rural towns across America, there are thou- sands of seniors who may be miss- ing out on significant prescription drug savings. They are either unaware of or do not fully understand the new Medicare-Approved Drug Discount Card program. In an effort to educate seniors on the discount cards available to them, the National Grange, in partnership with Pfizer Inc, recently launched a campaign— The Grange Medicare-Approved Drug Discount Card Education Program. It is designed to inform Medicare beneficiaries about the discount cards and to help them choose the card that best meets their needs. “Our program is designed to make this difficult process easy for seniors living in Grange communities,” National Grange President William Steel said. “The Grange wants America’s seniors to have the best quality of life in their golden years, and one way to do this is to help them learn to afford the medications they need.” Reaching out to rural seniors, the National Grange—a rural advocacy organization—will teach seniors how to easetheir financial burdens by saving on prescription drugs. More than 1,000 local Granges will participate in the education campaign. Some of the local Granges will host events featuring an awareness presentation highlighting the application process and the steps seniors need to take to enroll in ole ee uw | the Medicare program. Seniors will receive information on the drug discount cards and will have the opportunity to ask questions. Other Granges will host events anddistribute information at community senior centers throughout the next few months. “We are excited to partner with the National Grangeto spread the word about the Medicare-Approved Drug Discount Card program,” said Forest Harper, a vice president at Pfizer Inc. “These cards offer significant savings on prescription drugs. We want to ensure that seniors are aware of the program so they do not leave moneysitting on the table.” For more information or to find out if a Grange in your community is participating in the awareness campaign, please contact the National Grange at 1-888-4472643 x 107 or visit www.national grange.org.
