im Action Oldest Animal Advocate Turns 95 (NAPSA)—Mrs. AnnaC. Briggs, an animal-loving matriarch, will be turning 95 this year. Anna still reports to work every morning, five days a week. “Dedicationis often the word I use whenI refer to her,” says Virginia Briggs Dungan, her daughter. Counting our blessings—The unselfish legacy of Anna C. Briggs will continue. Anna C. Briggs started The National Humane Education Society in 1948, 56 years ago. Her goal was to establish an organization that would foster a sentiment of kindness to animals in children and adults. In fact, the NHES does much more than that. It provides humaneeducation, rescue, lifetime sanctuary, and comprehensive adoption services. “Because of Anna’s hard work and determination, NHES is able to spay and neuter over 2,000 cats and dogs each year and place hundreds of others into loving hands,” says her admiring daughter.
