We cover America’s 10,000 newspapers with over 225 million in cumulative circulation, about 167 million of which are in weekly community newspapers in the wealthy suburbs. Our media list includes 1,600 dailies, 8,400 weeklies and thousands of Web sites. We also cover 6,500 radio stations and 1,000 TV stations.

We also cover thousands of online publications that use our materials.

Newspapers are supported by local advertising and tend to be in the most heavily populated and wealthiest areas, where advertisers can get the biggest return on their ad dollars.

About two-thirds of Americans live in the suburbs. They tend to be wealthier, have greater purchasing power and have better education than those living in the inner cities.

Our clients often judge their success not only by the number of placements and quality of people reached but also by the number of responses (write-ins or phone-ins) that have turned into sales.
The ad space equivalency for the placements we get for each release far exceeds the cost of our service.

Thousands of the most affluent communities, such as Westport, CT, have community papers. For example, in Bergen County, NJ, the largest community paper is the Suburbanite, with 200,000 circulation. Another 250 newspapers there have 7 million in cumulative circulation.

Weekly community newspapers have a greater chance of being read because of a longer shelf life and fewer pages.

People read community newspapers to keep up with local taxes, school boards, politics, entertainment, special events, sports and local shopping news, which they can’t find in major dailies.

Merchants read newspapers to keep up with their ads. Politicians and other movers and shakers read community newspapers to keep track of public opinion.

Seniors and women who don’t hold jobs outside the home have time to read their newspapers cover to cover, write letters and clip articles for family members and friends.

You can get greater penetration of major markets with community newspapers. Not everyone reads major dailies such as The New York Times (1.2 million in circulation).

Most people don’t read every page or every day so they may miss reading your article in a larger daily.
One benefit of a double-hit (i.e., a reader sees your article twice) is reinforcement of your message with greater credibility.

Many of the editors we reach won’t accept material unless it comes to them in camera-ready form (the way we send it) because they are low on staff, low on time and need something ready to run. They print our material as is in 99 percent of the cases so people read your story exactly as you approved it, not heavily edited or cut or losing context.

If you try our service once, your management will be very impressed with the results.
