The Right Rebate Act of 2018 would close a loophole in Medicaid that lets pharmaceutical manufacturers misclassify drugs and overcharge taxpayers by billions of dollars, says Jeffrey Lewis, the president and C-E-O of Legacy Health Endowment. The bill has been re-introduced by Senators Chuck Grassley, Republican of Iowa, and Ron Wyden, Democrat of Oregon. It also helps consumers by giving the Departm ent of Health and Human Services additional authority to ensure drugs are properly classified.
